Who Have You Seen Live - gryphon - 10-12-2009 I wanted to ask members : Who have you seen live , what was the best live performance you have been to and what was so special for you ? mile:
Who Have You Seen Live - gryphon - 10-12-2009 I have seen the following live Paul McCartney and Wings twice Yes Dire Straits Climax Blues Band Pavarotti Lindisfarne Elvis Costello Peter Gabriel Ian Dury Mike Oldfield Five Hand Reel Magna Carta Jake Thackrey Gryphon OMD Al Stewart .........have spent time with Al after concert one to one! Medium Medium The Vapours plus others Who Have You Seen Live - Palmer - 10-12-2009 Well here is a list the best I can do for now. I KNOW I am missing loads in there though, since I attend many festivals which naturally have many artists on one bill. This list consists of many "major" acts, as well as countless wonderful independent artists. The Trews Inward Eye Saving Abel Motley Crue Trapt Papa Roach Gowan Def Leppard Aerosmith Sixx:A.M Foreigner Toronto Warren Zevon BB King Ted Nugent KISS Styx April Wine Alice Cooper Eric Burdon Pat Benatar Prism Rev Theory Colin James The Odds Junkhouse Barney Bentall Supertramp Tim Williams David Blair Sophmore Jakes Jo Hikk Joe Bonamassa Carey Worrod Reba McEntire Fear Zero Bascom Hill Bobby Cameron Matchbox 20 Harlequin The Mudmen Ministry of Zen Scarlet Sins Awaking State Default Stone Iris Soul Side In State of Shock City Vox Silvercade Makeshift Innocence Buckcherry Tom Wilson Last one I saw: Soul Side In Most special? That's a tough one, but I will say, any time I see Colin James is special, but as a personal level, that's a toss up between Aerosmith or KISS  Who Have You Seen Live - kvincent5555 - 10-12-2009 I can't remember them all, but... The best was Judas Priest. The second best was AC/DC. Rush was the worst. One surprisingly good show was Black Sabbath with Ian Gillian. Who Have You Seen Live - Music Head - 10-12-2009 Queen and Bowie were the best. Others are too many to mention or maybe that's remember, considering the circumstances. Most were probably in a club setting, country/folk type. Who Have You Seen Live - gryphon - 10-12-2009 I Saw Bowie At The Milton Keynes Bowl Serious Moonlight tour............awesome Who Have You Seen Live - Dementia32 - 12-12-2009 I am sure that I am leaving some off of this list, but I'm gonna do my best to remember as many as possible. AC/DC Aerosmith Tori Amos (too many times to count) Nicole Atkins (3 times) Band of Horses BB King Black Sabbath The Bridge (twice) Buckcherry Jerry Cantrell George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic Cheap Trick (twice) Coldplay The Cure Def Leppard Deftones The Duke Spirit Ani DiFranco Drowning Pool Bob Dylan Melissa Etheridge Fleetwood Mac Ben Folds Godsmack (twice) Gomez Heart Hobex The Hymns Incubus Jane’s Addiction Journey Kid Rock (twice) Korn Lynyrd Skynyrd Machine Head (twice) Megadeth Metallica Modest Mouse Alanis Morissette Motley Crue (twice) Motorhead Nine Inch Nails (three times) No Doubt (twice) Ozzy Osbourne (five times) Pantera Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (twice) Phish Poison Powerman 5000 R.E.M. Josh Ritter Slayer Snoop Dogg System of a Down Tool Tricky Type O Negative Rob Zombie (at least twice) ZZ Top Getting ready to go see The Bridge again in a few weeks and will also probably fit in an Anvil show just for fun. At this point, I have no idea who I'd put at the top of my list though. The Dylan show and one of the Petty shows were both quite memorable performances, and at least a few of the Tori Amos shows that I've been to have been top 5 or just beneath it. Then there's The Cure, Motorhead, BB King, and Nicole Atkins... all memorable for various reasons. Just too hard to pick only one. Who Have You Seen Live - JonG - 12-12-2009 Many, many many. Notable ones (because I can remember them): Junior Boys, Melt Banana, Locust, Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock, Smashing Pumpkins, Of Montreal, Great Lakes, Elf Power, Apples (in Stereo), xpxrx, White Stripes, Fugazi, Promise Ring, the Kills, Black Mountain, Caribou, Swayzak, Matthew Dear, Prefuse 73, the Coup, ?uestlove (of the Roots) DJ set, Richie Hawtin, Orbital, Moby, Richard Divine, Lightning Bolt, Jucifer, Mastodon, DJ/ Rupture... Who Have You Seen Live - Robi83 - 13-12-2009 I have a rather short list... I have seen one of my musical idol 2 times in Hungary, Jean Michel Jarre Oxygene Tour in 2008 and a year later by his In>Doors European tour. Who Have You Seen Live - Dementia32 - 23-01-2010 I did actually make that Anvil show earlier in the week. They really put on a great show with a lot of energy, even if the crowd is pretty darn small. I'm hoping to at least add Them Crooked Vultures, Alice in Chains, and Rodrigo y Gabriela over the next couple of months. |
