misheard lyrics - kerry101 - 30-12-2009 have you ever been so sure you know what a song says, only to find out that you have misheard the lyrics and been singing something completely off the wall all along? misheard lyrics - carbon_psycho - 30-12-2009 Yes, I like many others thought Hendrix sang "excuse me while I kiss this guy" in Purple Haze. There are few more, I am having a hard time recalling. misheard lyrics - gryphon - 30-12-2009 " When I called you last night from Tesco" misheard lyrics - kerry101 - 30-12-2009 gryphon Wrote:" When I called you last night from Tesco" i heard that one too "Ikes got that something that's been going round" instead of I'VE got that something" misheard lyrics - David Broad - 30-12-2009 Here are one or two . Venga Boys , We're Going To Ibizza / We're Going To Eat Pizza . The Walker Brothers , No Regrets / For far too long I've nothing new to "SHOUT" at you ; rather than show to you which is how it really goes . No Doubt I will think of some more . misheard lyrics - David Broad - 30-12-2009 Of course while on the subject this can go a little bit further . It is not just a case of missheard , but there are also cases where something sounds different to what is actually being sung even though you know it is not . A couple of examples . Labamba . No idea what it actually is , but there are parts of it where to me they are singing , "It can't be done Oh it can't be done" Another one . Bony Tyler , Heart Ach . Sounds more like "It's Uh Hard Egg" And as I can't even stand the sight of eggs for that I hate that song . :hand: misheard lyrics - David Broad - 30-12-2009 Oh and here is another one . The song "It's My Party ." Love the original by Lesley Gore , but hate the 80's cover buy I am not sure who did it now . Anyway , I always thought that it was Julie rather that Judy like it actually is . And one more . The theme song to Dads Army , Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Hittler . On the second verse , I alwyas used to think it was "Mr Brown Goes To Town And The Age Twenty One ." But How it actually goes is "On The Eaight Twent One . misheard lyrics - Rain - 31-12-2009 1) From the song "Down,Down,Down To Mephisto's Cafe" from the band Streetlight Manifesto. In the second verse I heard "So f*ck the f*cks" while it was "So f*ck the flocks". Oh well . 2)In the song Anna Molly I heard instead of anna molly, anomaly but I think the band did it on purpose so as it will sound as anomaly  . misheard lyrics - David Broad - 31-12-2009 Rain Wrote:1) From the song "Down,Down,Down To Mephisto's Cafe" from the band Streetlight Manifesto. In the second verse I heard "So f*ck the f*cks" while it was "So f*ck the flocks". Oh well . Now its funny that you should mention about doing such things on purpose . Changing the subject slightly purhaps , but on the Blondie song Heart Of Glass . On the very last time those words are sung , what is supposed to be Heart Of Glass , is in fact "Pain In The Arse " No I wonder just how many have ever noticed that . I never did and only knew when somebody in the pub told me . Needless to say what the next thing I did was and sure enough , Pian In The Arse is how it goes . I have spoken to many since who have never noticed it .
misheard lyrics - Rain - 01-01-2010 I think it's a nice trick because it makes the song usually funny and clever. |
