So your thinking, what else can there be left to talk about?
Well, the Beatles have several other parts that the beginner might be interested in investigating:
Let’s have a look:
Well before George Martin and EMI signed them up, the Beatles had already made a few records:
Let’s start at the beginning:

This set of recordings has been available in a semi legal form in Europe but as of writing appears to have been acquired by apple as four of the tracks appear on Anthology one.

Live At The Star Club Hamburg Christmas 1962
This recording has an odd history: As it was recorded after signing to EMI , they should have had first refusal of it……………..however, it appears that they did not want it. It has had a legal release at one point but court injunctions put an end to this around about the time anthology was released.
Difficult to find really good quality recordings here but, here are a few:
Interesting to note that Ringo is sitting in for Pete here

The Beatles Before EMI - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-08-2010

'cry for a shadow' is also a good little track from the pre-emi days, allbeit an instrumental, its also important to note that this song was the only time during the beatles career the the songwriting credits go to 'the beatles'. i could be wrong but i believe it was an attempt by the beatles to either pay homeage to, or take the piss out of 'the shadows', depending on what source you read.

The Beatles Before EMI - gryphon - 27-08-2010

Cry For A Shadow is a Lennon-Harrison composition!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only instrumental with all four credits is "Flying "Cool
