Hi all
Hope I'm not duplicating a thread here. Curious as to what members regard as the best album artwork. By that I mean a cover that actually reflects the music inside the package. Anyone can produce an image that shocks or is very clever but how many can produce artwork that is actually a visual representation of the work? My choice is Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'. Storm really got it right this time - the sense of 'absence' (the theme of the album) is reflected in both the music and the artwork. My brother bought this album many moons ago and when I saw the cover I just knew it was going to be something special. I wasn't disappointed. Put the vinyl on the turntable and was immeadiately transported - it was like a spaceship had just landed on the lawn. Oh yes, the joint helped as well......

The vast catalog of Hipgnosis artwork is almost universally good IMHO.
