I thought they looked pretty awesome so I purchased their 'Live at the Wetlands' debut for a mere £3. Today when I finally sat down to listen to it, I was blown away by the sheer energy of the performance and uniqueness of the band. Their mix of blues, funk & soul really appeals to me and I will definitely be looking to purchase the rest of their material even if they are studio albums this time which i feel could take away from the original energy of the band. Anyway, I highly recommend the debut live album as a starting point and most of all enjoy! P.S. Most of the information included here was taken from Wiki & Rolling Stone website but I just wrote it in my own way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Randolph Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Music Head - 04-09-2010 great stuff Mr. thanks Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Music Head - 04-09-2010 Can't get that clip to play I get this "This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it on copyright grounds" Robert Randolph & The Family Band - gryphon - 05-09-2010 An excellent effort Mr Soul............................It is good to see more and more people feel that they can contribute to the features of MD ............I am sure that this trend will ensure that we become a stronger and stronger institution which is more than just a music forum !:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Thraak - 05-09-2010 Music Head- yeah I uploaded it but youtube (the morons) have decided to block that video and leave the other 20 I uploaded over the past god knows how many months . Apologies for the inconvenience and have I replaced the video. Gryphon- thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you're happy with the thread. Whilst I don't take the forum that seriously , I do enjoy contributing to the site and most important of all sharing great music with the other users on here. I don't know what it is but I just get a kick out of introducing people to new bands and spreading the word etc. Later on, it would be nice to see the forum expand a bit and gain a few more frequently active members as it can be rather quiet on here sometimes. Whats important is that we get a reasonable balance of frequent users and don't want the site to become flooded with too many members cos then you just end up with a huge turnover of spammers. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the album. It was fantastic and probably the best £3 I've ever spent.
