9/11 - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-09-2010 i may or may not get back here before 9/11 tomorrow so i just want to say i'd like everyone here to say a prayer for those directly affected by this dispicable act 9 years ago, for those who are still grieving loved ones from the 9/11 attacks, for fallen soldiers, the return of those serving overseas, and also for the innocent people of iraq and afghanastan who have also been caught up in the war. Amen. thousands of children scarred for life millions of tears for a soldiers wife both sides are losing now, heaven takes them in thousands of children scarred for life. from 'shock and awe', neil young 'living with war' album 9/11 - Music Head - 09-09-2010 amen brother may we all live in peace. 9/11 - Tiggi - 10-09-2010 Agree entirely. Out of curiosity, does anyone have any strong views for or against pastor Terry Jones' actions ?? 9/11 - CRAZY-HORSE - 10-09-2010 he's a bloody idiot, very unchristian of him. using religion for his own agenda, like terrorists justify their actions with their religion. i like billy connolly's take on suicide bombers: "id like to go to bomber training school, the instructor says 'right class,im gonna show you this once and once only' "......only billy could get away with it,priceless! 9/11 - Music Head - 10-09-2010 Yes, he's a nutcase. But nothing should be done to prevent it. And the media is as much to blame as him. 9/11 - CRAZY-HORSE - 10-09-2010 agreed, media should have ignored the subject, but sensationalism is what the media specialise in and have done for years 9/11 - Music Head - 11-09-2010 I'll be watching the replay/history type shows today. Letting my emotions get the best of me. Not healthy but necessary. NEVER FORGET Something I have very passionate feelings about. 9/11 - CRAZY-HORSE - 11-09-2010 nothing wrong with letting your emotions out Ed, its healthy to do so, i wont say enjoy your day, but instead, do what you have to to get through it. i'll watch it on tv and be horrified all over again at the loss of almost 4000 innocent lives lost...in the name of religion, i'll have a 'bud' for you Ed. 9/11 - Music Head - 11-09-2010 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:nothing wrong with letting your emotions out Ed, its healthy to do so, i wont say enjoy your day, but instead, do what you have to to get through it. i'll watch it on tv and be horrified all over again at the loss of almost 4000 innocent lives lost...in the name of religion, i'll have a 'bud' for you Ed. thanks Lloyd. I'm doing the same. 9/11 - Tiggi - 11-09-2010 I can well remember the day, as I was on an early shift and returned home to switch on the news programmes, and watched the second Twin Towers attack live as it happened. Regarding pastor Jones, I can understand why people feel like he obviously does, but can't fathom how on earth he thought his planned activity was in any way constructive. I think this is stooping to the sort of level that we see when Muslims burn Western flags & effigies. A subsidiary question: What is the general view in the States about the proposed mosque in the vicinity of Ground Zero ? I don't know the details, but is this viewed as a deliberately provocative Muslim action ? |
