When they split, I said Robert Plant would never make it as a solo artist. Glad to say I was wrong. Going on 30 years later, the guy has built up a nice catalogue. This one would rate up near the top I think. Love it when his country leanings surface as they do on a lot of this. His work with Alison Krauss opened up the doors even further. He is well respected now for that branching off. This trend is continued here with guest vocals of Patty Griffin on some cuts. That helps build the street cred for that market of country/folk/bluegrass. I doubt if this will make any of those charts very high, but it could and be legit. Will add this to my list that will probably never get bought. Dollars are thin.

Robert Plantâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦..Band Of Gold
Track One Angel Danceâ¦â¦.The answer in track one, is that Led Zepplin is a difficult mark to erase and it is still present in the music rather lake the grain in woodâ¦..Itâs good musicâ¦â¦â¦â¦.it sticks in the mind and it makes one think , it is easy to listen to and still current
Track Two House Of Cards : This is a little less Zep and a bit more like a country songâ¦..itâs a pedestrian pace and a simple lyricâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦..
Track Three Central Two O Nine : Acoustic based music with again a country feel takes us to track three good listening but not that innovative !
Track Four Silver Rider: Slow number, simple affective lyric, atmospheric and somehow emotionally tense.
Track Five You Canât Buy My Love: Upbeat, heavy guitar and choppy vocals , somehow he has re-written the Beatles song â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦Canât say I donât like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Track Six Iâm Falling In Love Again: Nice gentle ballad which looks backwards to the fifties!
Track Seven The Only Sound That Matters: Robert âMick Jagger â Plant, â¦.A Stones approach here that would not sound bad if, Mick had popped in for the duetâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦maybe a project for the future?
Track Eight Monkey: A soft creeping start to âMonkeyâ Softly, softly catchy Monkey Robert! Interesting and involving, light and heavy at the same time.
Track Nine Cindy, Iâll Marry You One Day : Robert dons his banjo to play this one and again we borrow from an old fifties song( From Johnny Duncan ) to get to where we are going.
Track Ten Harms Swift Way: Nice slide guitar work on this slow one.
Track Eleven Satan Your Kingdom Must Come: Robert was always said to have sold his soul for Rock and Roll, perhaps now itâs time for him to pay up on this bargainâ¦â¦â¦ This sure sounds like a down paymentâ¦â¦â¦.but who to ?
Track Twelve Even This Shall Pass Away: The final track. Back to the past sounds of Led Zep!
I guess once a Zeppelin man always a Zeppelin manâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦Like a Zeppelin, he still flies and it is still slow and majestic and all come out to see the spectacle â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦but, we have moved on, and we must not forget that there are jet planes and so forth.
