Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - CRAZY-HORSE - 26-12-2010 thanks Gryphon, even though she is associated with 'idol' shes not too bad...its on the buy list now. Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - Music Head - 26-12-2010 listened to this a few weeks ago ended up with a 1.5 on my scale, which equals a do not buy liked two tracks, Farmer's Daughter and Mine All Mine can't like this anyway Simon gave her a lot of compliments Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - Tiggi - 26-12-2010 Simon is evil, and must be resisted... Just like Cliff Richard. Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - Thraak - 26-12-2010 Tiggi Wrote:Simon is evil, and must be resisted... But he did give us a great song in 'Wired For Sound' which was later covered by Shed Seven! Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - gryphon - 28-12-2010 Crystal Bowersoxâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦.Farmerâs Daughter
I was not sure what was to be expected here: previous posts from the site told me that Crystal was associated with âIdolâ but even that can produce talent at times and here it seem to have managed it. Track Two For What Its Worth: This is clearly a cover of the old track by Buffalo Springfield, whilst she does not add anything to the original version this is a good cover and makes good listening ! Track Three Farmerâs Daughter : A gentle track with personal lyrics: Mum who wasnât there for her in childhood â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦.. Track Four Holy Toledo: Gentle country , with touching lyrics. Track Five Lonely Wont Come Around: Catchy little tune ! I liked this one ! Track Six Hold On: Another good track : acoustic guitar, strong vocal and relevant lyric. Track Seven On The Run: Variety is the spice of life and this is a little different, reminded me a little Shinia Twain, same bustling approach and fast vocal style. Track Eight Kiss Ya: Another romp through keyboards, guitar vocal and drums . Track Nine Speak Now: Another little Gem! Track Ten Mine All Mine: Jangly guitar, nice vocal and gentle country arrangement. What more could you want? Track Eleven Mason: Another nice gentle country track with good lyrical content. Track Twelve Arlene :The last trackâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦.Iâm feeling a little sad because I was looking forward to a bit more, another good story-in-a-song track. Crystal has a sweet voice and a good feel for a country approach, lyrically the music, has the correct ingredients : they are personally involved and convey feeling about past wrongsâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦..This is what country rock is all aboutâ¦â¦â¦â¦..
Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - Music Head - 29-12-2010 Was struck by the depressing video that goes with the title track from this. Abusive childhood I guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NR8tH9tDGQ Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - Thraak - 03-01-2011 I did download this one just out of interest but apart from the moderately enjoyable cover of BS's 'For What It's Worth' I didn't enjoy the album. Week Forty Seven............Crystal Bowersox...............Farmer's Daughter - casey mahoney - 24-02-2011 Yea good review! |
