Music Milestone For Me - Music Head - 27-02-2011

While I'm thinking about it, in a few days I will have finished the listening rotation of my vinyl collection. This process has taken close to 6 years, never listening to any album more than once. I know when I started because we had just moved into this house in April of 2005. Since I have been a member of this forum for around a year and a half, at that same pace, that means you only have four and a half years more of my albums for me to post.

Excellent, Ed.

I think I've only done that sort of exercise once before, when my album collection was smaller than today. It was a similar multi-year deal.

Here's looking forwards to the next four and a half years...

i dont think i could go six years without listening to some of my albums,in fact it wouldnt happen....so congrats on your determination to do that Ed.
now, you've gotta hang around for another four and a half years mate.

by random selection of playing albums, youve encouraged me to do the same thing, also, you're to blame for me disorganising my cds, before i started here i kept them all artist alphabetical and chronological release date within that(except paul weller and neil young who still are)...this is much more interesting

Thanks guys.
I can only hope to be around that long.
Told my wife just the other day, each time I pull one of these albums out of the box, I think, well this will be the last time I get to hear this.

Yea, I love the random selection process, no repeats and I know I'm going to at least like probably 90% of them.
I do sort of miss not playing something I love, over and over, but I know it won't be long before I pull out another one I love.
