What Should I Listen To? - PurpleRose - 02-06-2011 I hope I'm allowed to post a thread like this. I'd like to expand what I listen to. For the past few years, I've not really listened to much music, for various reasons. I've totally got out of the habit. I now want to get back into it. At the moment I like quite 'shallow' music... songs that I like for just being a happy/boppy tune. I'd like some music that expands out from that, into different genres perhaps, or being happy but with meaning or fantastic instrumentals or something, or by someone who plays music for just liking music, rather than to please everyone else/get money. Any suggestions? It can be from any era or genre. You seems to have wide tastes and they expand forwards and backwards in time so we can use that as a starting point................... I like songs from musicals, musical comedy, and anything with a 'happy' feel. I like a lot of Oldies pop, and lately I've been into doo wop haha. Already a fan of the Beatles.
