Does the weather affect what music you listen to ? - SteveO - 23-07-2011 When it rains do you go for uptempo music to brighten your spirits or do you tend to listen to a sad piece of music ? If it's sunny do you feel the urge to listen to your favorite summer songs - Beach Boys, Hot Fun in the Summertime, Kid Rock Summer song, Summer in the City, Mungo Jerry's In the Summertime etc. or does it really matter ? Whether it's winter, spring, summer or fall I will listen to whatever my mood dictates although if it's a bright sunny day I lean toward the lighter side of music. Does the weather affect what music you listen to ? - evilB - 23-07-2011 I have one performer that almost always gets played on very rainy days - sorry Gryphon I don't get very many of these in a year. I play Joni Mitchell when it is really raining, I find her music just works really well with downpours (not in a depressing way but in a positive feeling). Other than that I play music according to my moods or what I can reach, hahaha. Does the weather affect what music you listen to ? - TraceNspace - 23-07-2011 I'm definitely one to listen to more up tempo music on a summery day if I'm going somewhere and doing something summery. And I listen to slower more low key things during a storm. Sometimes the weather afffects my mood which will then affect my choice of playlist. But in general no the UK's weather isn't intresting enough, "52% of our days are overcast, so as a nation we are infused with a wistful melancholy".....
