Obscure Classics 1: The Dance of the Moon and the Sun by Natural Snow Buildings - mtthwibrahim - 22-11-2011 Natural Snow Buildings are a drone/folk duo from France, specializing in lengthy drone compositions. Since 1999, they've released a number of home tapes distributed through the interenet, but this stand unquestionably as the group's masterpiece. Nearly three hours in length and comprised of simplistic yet ethereal folk and earth-shattering drones, "The Dance of the Moon and the Sun" was one of the hardest albums for me to have gotten into. Once, it clicked, however, there was no going back. It struck a deeper chord than anything before, literally transporting me ot of my body and into a realm of sound for those glorious three hours, and may very well be my favorite album of all time. The album can be found on any number of music blogs, and I highly recommend downloading it Obscure Classics 1: The Dance of the Moon and the Sun by Natural Snow Buildings - SteveO - 22-11-2011 I agree Matt that this piece of music is mesmerising and enjoyable to listen to !!!! I have their Daughter of Darkness ...Charles nabbed it for me on one of his Euro trips! Nice work,,,may I suggest adding a couple of audio clips just to embellish the post a bit ! look forward to number 2 next week ! Variety is the spice of music !!!! mtthwibrahim Wrote:Natural Snow Buildings are a drone/folk duo from France, specializing in lengthy drone compositions. Obscure Classics 1: The Dance of the Moon and the Sun by Natural Snow Buildings - Jerome - 22-11-2011 On the subject of Obscure - Obscured by Clouds - Pink Floyd. It always amazes me how many 'hard-core' Floyd fans I meet that don't know about this album. Love Rick's work on this album. Obscure Classics 1: The Dance of the Moon and the Sun by Natural Snow Buildings - SteveO - 22-11-2011 Yes J ! I have listened to this album since it was first released and it has sunk into obscurity somewhat ! Rick Wright contributes a lot to this venture...... Besodes Gilmour and Waters, can you recommend solo albums by Wright and Mason ? Jerome Wrote:On the subject of Obscure - Obscured by Clouds - Pink Floyd.
