Obscure Classics 4: Divine Music From A Jail by Oiduppa Vladimir Oiun - mtthwibrahim - 23-12-2011

Before I get into actually talking about this amazing album, I want to apologize for being rather inconsistent with these things. I'm pretty busty these days, and even if I'm free to do one, sometimes I don't feel like doing it. I'll try to do one every week, but I can't make any promises

Anyways, as for the album in question, it is a collection of Tuvan throat singing with some fancy accordion work. I know that description may throw a lot of people off, but I highly sugest keeping an open mind and giving the thing a try. I don't know the whole story, but I believe Oiun was imprisoned for radical beliefs, and in jail expressed all his pain and sorrow in the masterpiece we know as "Divine Music From A Jail". Truly some of the most powerful music you will ever lay your ears on
