I'm really enjoying this album. Thanks for the heads up to it. :hail: Tetrafusion released a new album today, and it's for Free download: - Genocideguitarist - 05-02-2012 Indeed! Killer band! Are you into this music? I never was really, but the whole new progressive wave is really rubbing me the right way. I never cared for Dream Theatre much, though. Tetrafusion released a new album today, and it's for Free download: - LMD - 07-02-2012 Never heard of this "Prog metal" thing til you posted this. I'll have to look more into it. They linked to another band of the same style as them they said, but I didn't find it quite as good ("A Sense of Gravity" is the band), so I don't know. I'll buy their prior albums when I get some money to spend and finish getting some ones I've been saving up for. For now though, Horizons is at the top of my 2012 albums list. Great performance all around. Is Dream Theater along the same lines as these guys? I'll have to check them out again, haven't listened since about 4-5 years ago. Maybe my tastes have changed. Tetrafusion released a new album today, and it's for Free download: - SteveO - 08-02-2012 I consider the great Swedish band Opeth as progressive rock/ metal. Also check out last two albums by Anathema..they went from death gothic metal at first to prog rock/metal recently...very good band ! I also enjoy Voyager from Australia..their last two albums are recommended. Awesome band Dream Theater however I grew tired of listening to them as I found they had the same formula for each album and it became somewhat boring and predictable....they're still great but somewhat predictable. That's the reason I listen to avant garde music sometimes, it's certainly not boring or predictable in my opinion. LMD Wrote:Never heard of this "Prog metal" thing til you posted this. This way I can start with the best and not get turned off if I don't like some of the weaker stuff.
