on this day in 1935 in Tupelo Mississippi Jessee Garon and Elvis Aaron Presley were born in a little shotgun shack to poverty striken Gladys and Vernon Presley...
Jessee died shortly after birth, Elvis went on to become the biggest name in rock and roll history after walking into the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis to record a track called 'my happiness' as a birthday present for his mom in 1953.
in 1992 Elvis' estate was given a titanium disc from the American Recording Industry for album sales inexcess of one billion copies(i believe the Beatles have passed the billion mark around 2005)....
my greatest desire has always been to go to Graceland to pay some sort of homeage to The King, and with the help of my 'brother' Music Head i/we achieved that in august of 2011....hey, thanks for the memories Ed, that meant the world to me!!!!!
