I'll just take a stab in the dark and say that perhaps the music is from one of the alternative bands called Thirty Seconds to Mars? Problem is where did it come from ???...I would start at listening to their first two albums if this film came out in 2005! The albums are 30 Seconds to Mars eponymous and A Beautiful Lie. I noticed on wiki that they also released non album songs...you could listen to them also on an online stream perhaps! Sorry if this doesn't help.
