My thoughts about musics - iRaptr - 19-01-2014
Hey everyone!
I wrote this text to share with you what I think about two things related to music. I felt that I needed to do this because unfortunately almost none of my friends like my music tastes, so I think that this is a great place to write this.
The first thing that I want to talk about is the "current music quality". At school almost all of my friends like eletronic music and rap and/or Justin Bieber and that kind of stuff. Last week I showed to a friend the Final Countdown by Europe and he told me: "Do you really listen to that prehistoric and garbage music?" I mean... Pre historic? For me the best decades were the 70, 80 and 90's: Kiss, ACDC, Ramones, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, Bryan Adams and so on. I hate most of today's music... Lil Wayne? Is that even singing? The same to Justin Bieber and that kind of singers... I honestly think that most of us (people) are being "catalizars" of the degradation of the good music... But I respect who like that singers...
The second thing that I want to talk about is my music tastes... I just cant make a top 5, but here are some of my favourite groups/singers: AC/DC, Kiss, Guns And Roses, Airbourne, Stratovarius, Bryan Adams, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, R.E.M, Jimmy Barnes, Avantasia, Europe etc. When I listen to music it feels like Im in another world... I simply forget about my problems, School, everything. One things is for sure: I couldn't live without music!
Well sorry guys If this was boring, but I just wanted to share my opinion, because I don't have anyone to talk to about this particular subject in school. And by the way sorry about my English

ok, we get a pretty good idea about the fact you "hate" most of today's music, but what modern stuff do you like,if any, as there are a lot of good bands out there IMO like:

My Morning Jacket/Jim James
Imagine Dragons
Arcade Fire
Taylor Swift
P!NK
Katy Perry
Adele
to name a few...

Yeah I like some of the bands you wrote, and more like muse and 30 Seconds to Mars! Altough my style is without any doubt rock/metal.

don't try to fit in with what others like
we each have our own music tastes
then again, don't not listen to something just because it's current
it's fine to like older music, just don't stay buried in the past
like CRAZY-HORSE said, there is good new music out there
we just have to look for it, and it might take some effort
