Orrin Keepnews Producer of hundreds of albums, label owner multiple times, executive at others, Grammy winner for his album notes and critical pieces.... His career spanned 50 years and if he never did anything besides believing so strongly and promoting so relentlessly the career of Thelonius Monk, his place would be assured.
