Blues Legend dies at 89.
My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Sorry I didn't say much. When I heard the news, I was stunned. It was painful to make this thread. When a great guitarist dies, I've felt like I lost a love one. That was hours ago, now I am able to recuperate.

What I am able to say is that the world is slowly losing the reservoir of real talent. I think when one day all of today's artists dies, they won't be remembered. They have no legacy.

100% correct - my thoughts exactly with regard to your comment about the world losing the reservoir of talent. Very sad indeed. The thrill is truly gone.

I know Clapton has stated that Guy is the greatest guitarist in the world (in the blues genre probably Yes)! Not sure if BB and Buddy had much of an influence on George Harrison.

An opinion show host, Tavis Smiley, has all manner of guests warmly talking about all manner of stuff in a relaxed manner. Mr. King was a guest for 2 back-to-back converstations in 2013: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/tavissmiley/ << Featured now on the Home page; later, you'll have to dig.
