No denying that he is very talented but his music just never really stuck in my mind - can't really say why. Just does not make any impact with me.
BTW - was in the car wash yesterday and while the machine was doing a wonderful job of removing my aerial from the roof I heard the strangest music on the radio - at the end of the broadcast caught the name of the band - Sigur Ros, but not the name of the track, which sounded like 'attack' or something like that. Really unusual stuff. First time I have heard them. Very unorthodox. Can't figure out whether I like them or not??!!??

Thx for the post CH - this is not the piece I heard so I might have made a mistake with the title - not sure??!?? And to answer your other question - I have never listened to Purple Rain. Heard the main track on the radio all right but nothing else.
