Haven't heard much of Flume. I don't think I've been missing much.
That track starts off sounding rather nice, then rapidly becomes just like a hundred other so-called RnB songs on the charts. No worse than most, but no better either.
Also, am I the only one who gets annoyed with the stupid names that solo artists are giving themselves these days? There is one artist who calls himself "Perfume Genius". WTF?

the "like a version" thing is from radio station TripleJ here in Australia...
although I dislike most of what is called "like a version" I think its an interesting concept...
the concept it, TripleJ bring in artists to the station and the idea is that the artist performs a cover song live...
im not sure if the artist or the station decides what they cover but its usually something outside of their usual style/genre
and they turn it into something to call their own...
as I said, I dislike most of what is done, but at least it is an original idea...
back to Flume....
he took out just about every possible award at the recent ARIA awards here in Australia a couple of weeks ago which doesn't really man much
because back in 2012 Gotye did the same thing as did Lorde a couple of years ago, and where are they now????
