Avenged Sevenfold "the stage"
Spotify listen:
seventh album from the band and my first....
no screamers, no growlers or even scrowlers to be heard...
straight up heavy metal here...
heard bits of Iron Maiden in some of the solos....
apparently its a concept album about artificial intelligence and
the destruction of society as we know it, I didn't get that, but Wiki told me so....
first couple of tracks sounded okay to me then it all appeared to sound much of
the same for the remaining hour...
still, at least it was metal in the old fashioned sense of the word.

Yeah, I think this is a solid, interesting metal album from Avenged Sevenfold. It's kind of proggy too. I heard Neil deGrasse Tyson's speech part in the track, Exist, which is cool. I like his TV series "Cosmos".

i thought I heard hints of Prog Rock in it Ocean, youre quite correct,, and being a concept album that would make perfect sense....
I thought the album cover saw pretty cool also, would love to see it in a vinyl copy.
ive never heard of the "cosmos" tv series, is it an actual series(fictional) or a documentary series????

I like the album cover as well.
Cosmos is an American science-based mini-series documentary hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson.
