NOEL GALLAGHER'S HIGH FLYING BIRDS "who built the moon"
Spotify listen:
an explosion of sonic sounds here....
in fact "sonic kicks" would have made an apt title for it...
so what do we have?....
musically its dense, almost a "wall of sound" for want of a better word...
im thinking Gary Numan's music on steroids, the way Weller's "sonic kicks" should have sounded
possibly even Bowie's "scary monsters" on opiates or Prodigy on elephant juice..
songs are a million miles from the catchy singalong pop of Oasis,
that said though, there is one track that does come close to sounding like Oasis (you can take the boy out of the band,
but you cant take the band out of the boy!), but we have to wait until almost the end to hear it, even then itevolves
into something else hallway through...
two short insturmentals on here, both feature Johnny Marr and Paul Weller as guest artists...
the lead off single "holy mountain" is what the album is about, you like that youll like the album...
all up, a fantastic and surprising release from the older Gallagher and possibly his best release since "morning glory"....
so put on the cans, volume level on #10, sit back and be swept away by it....

very little off the album available on YT at the moment, I wanted to post "if love is the law", but alas it wasn't on there...
