Spotify listen:
the family that plays together stays together...
those words have summed up The Finn family for decades now
and here's another variation/inclusion to that motto in father Neil and
elder son Liam releasing a joint album...
don't worry though, younger sibling Elroy plays drums throughout and Neil's wife Sharon
is on it also...
input on several tracks from family friend Mick Fleetwood also...
album starts off in an almost electronic/experimental ambient couple of tracks...
wasn't too keen on those until I listened the second time round...
the whole album is coated in lush strings that are so sugary they should come with a waring that
says "not to be listened to if you are diabetic!" LOL....
a couple of not so common rock/pop instruments on here in the accordion and bouzouki...
so, I listened to the album on Friday...
today I listened to it after playing "out of silence" and this one is a perfect companion/progression to
that album...
seems like within the last year Neil Finn has released the two best albums of his career...
superb album!
my favourite with Liam on vocals:
and this masterpiece:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.
