john lennon 70th b'day reissues

on october 9th 2010 8 of lohn lennons solo albums will be reissued and remastered, the most interesting of the releases is the new 'stripped down' version of 'double fantasy, i was hoping it would be stripped down to no yoko ono songs but that is unlikely due to the fact that yoko herself is co-producing the new version.
also released on that day is a 11cd john lennon boxset entitled 'john lennon signature box' along with a couple of 'best of' sets

There were a couple of Yoko songs on that album I thought were decent.
Don't ask. I'd have to look it up or listen.
Saw her on one of the late nights earlier in the year.
It was so bad.
Now I see her last album is selling well, and I guess there's a single getting play in the clubs and on the airwaves somewhere.
Guess she married the right guy.
Talk about opening doors.

She's an odd character Yoko, its hard to tell how she really sees the world ...............There are times when I believes she thinks that it was John who was fortunate to meets such a great talents as hers and that she belives that the Beatles were far beneath her.................................There are times when I see a very sh rude woman playing games............................there are times when she knew exactly where to manipulate John and there are times when she is nearly human..............................But she knows how many beans make four and she knows how to use the public stage .............................:happy:

i think she is all of the above gryphon, no doubt she is a very shrude businesswoman and has strong character, she was strong enough to keep lennon in line and calm him down. i am not by any means a fan of yoko ono but i admire her for all the crap she copped in the media, likewise linda mccartney.
