That's my problem with artists such as this.
They are selling sex rather than music. Obviously it works.

i feel this is what is going wrong with the music industry today, because instead of artists being praised for their talent, they are just being used as sex objects to gain higher record sales which i feel is a shame and unfair to the truly talented.

Brainless Bimbo Music. The lyrics could have been written by a nine-year old.

The biggest blame I see is on the music-buying public, not the label. The label is simply producing what sells. And what sells is sexy images. It's been that way for decades. Most (and I emphasize "most", not all) female singers have to present a certain image to sell records. It may not be fair and it may not be the way we would like our societies to be, but it is that way.

Although I like edgy or experimental music mostly, I'm big enough that I can enjoy glossy pop too.
So: I don't care because I like her music and I don't care I like sexy women

Sexy women have their place. I don't think the sexy used to come at the expense of the talent though. I mean you have your singers you have your dancers and you have your pole dancers. There are far too many pole dancers posing as singers. Rhianna is pretty much a pole dancer. If her performance on Saturday Night Live is any indication of her singing ability, she and Brittany Spears need to go on the road together. I'll bring a suitcase full of singles and some earplugs.
