Madness "cant touch us now"

back in the late 70s/early to mid 80s these
guys were one of my favourite bands...
they mixed reggae/ska/pop and dance music to create their
own individual sound with witty lyrics...
if you've never heard of them but heard of Ian Dury,
think Dury with a more soulful/softer smooth voice...
they reformed in 2009, and have released two other albums
since then, both going gold status in the UK...
this one follows the same sounds as their earlier style but lacks
the punch and freshness of the sounds,
it just sounds forced to me, nothing natural about the sound whatsoever,
I guess they had a sound and it worked, but theyre just trying to recreate it
but it doesn't work IMO....
I like probably three or four tracks off this one, but theyre still not in the same league
as the tracks from their hey-day...
good thing is though, the best track to my ears happens to be the lead off single:
