STILLS & COLLINS  "everybody knows"

Spotify listen:

Stephen Stills and former lover Judy Collins team up for the time
on a complete album....
these are covers, some other peoples, and half the album, their own songs theyre reworking...
album starts off with a version of Travelling Wilbury's "handle with care", the sound of Steills'
trademark guitar sound is prominent throughout...
elsewhere theres a Cohen track, even a melodious version of Buffalo Springfield's "questions"...
their harmonies compliment eachother beautifully on the album...
not sure i'd buy it unless it was in a discount bin, but its still a nice album

the title track, loving the harmonies on this one!

you guys might get it around Christmas...LOL.
not sure why they would have had to but, the album was financed by what is termed "crowd funding"???!!!

Seems to be the trend these days. Record labels won't finance anything anymore unless it appeals to the younger generation. I would have thought that between the two of them they would have had the means to finance this themselves - and I am sure they will have access to studios owned by friends etc. Or maybe they just don't want to use their own money. Who knows?

Listened to this on Deezer last year when it came out – there was one YT clip available in my country at that time. Not much has changed! Stephen Stills’ voice is shot but I didn’t mind that - these two are so very comfortable together - it was a nice nostalgia tinged listen. Wouldn't go out of my way to get it, but wouldn't turn my nose up at it either, if it popped up somewhere.
