Lynne's birthday LP gifts:

      

three Prince albums she has never owned on vinyl:

L to R :  "one nite alone" (2002),  "dirty mind"  (1980) and  "batman OST"  (1989)

plus:

  

LADY GAGA  "mayhem"
her new album on vinyl to keep Lynne's Gaga collection on vinyl complete

  

QUEEN   "queen 1"
their debut album remixed by Brian May
on 180g black vinyl
contains an extra track, "mad the swine" which the label apparently vetoed to leave off the original release
May has put it as track 4 side one, between "great king rat" and "my fairy king" which is where is was meant to go.
again, Lynne has always been a Queen completist so this will keep it complete.
personally i am looking forward to hearing how the new mix enhances the album and whether the new song is reallt needed

my parents gave me a small cash gift for my birthday and this is what i purchased:

on vinyl:   NEW ALBUM: The Terrys' "the terrys"

i also picked up this on cd:   NEW ALBUM: Wet Leg - "moisturizer"

i still have enough money to get the new Paul Weller album on cd at some point.

Lynne and I did not buy many albums last year, 
in fact the last "new release" i purchased was Taylor Swift's last October so its been around five months

first purchases for 2026:

   

TEDDY SWIMS "i've tried everything but therapy 2"
released last year but never managed to get round to buying it

i have also purchased Lynne two more Prince albums she does not have on vinyl for her birthday in May, which she knows nothing about until her birthday

these were released in 2015 and are his 38th and 39th studio albums respectively
i own them on cd and have posted them on MD in WAYLT threads.
