STEVE HACKETT & STEVE ROTHERY - "The Black Sea"
The first track to be released from their upcoming album which is due out on 28th August. Two titans of guitar here - no flashy stuff, just unhurried, well put together, confident, quality music. They have collaborated before, on Rothery's The Ghosts of Pripyat - also the same drummer and bassist as for that album which speaks to good working relationships and a certain level of sympatico. I think it shows.
The title of the new, all instrumental album is The Roaring Waves - who needs lyrics with these two in the driving seat?? Good call gentlemen - I am looking hugely forward!
