Songs With a Chill/Relaxed Guitar Riff
#1
First, I would just like to introduce myself, this being my first post/thread. I am a music enthusiast. Music is, ultimately, my passion. I like mostly Indie/alternative/electronic-indie music. Now to get to my question. I love chill/slow/relaxed guitar riffs in songs. I am a mellow person so I think that's why I love it. I am trying to make a playlist with songs with chill guitar riffs. Problem is I only have 12 songs in it and am desperate for more. I thought, what's better then to get opinions from other music lovers. If you don't know what I mean by chill guitar riffs, here are some songs that are in my playlist: Nirvana - All Apologies, Radiohead - Reckoner, Radiohead - Weird Fishes, Pinback - Fortress, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californiacation, Kings of Leon - Knocked Up, Kings of Leon - Beach Side. If you've listened to these songs then you should know what I'm talking about. If you haven't listened to these songs check them out to get an understanding. If you guys can give me suggestions I would extremely grateful. I love being introduced to good music I haven't heard. Thanks.

P.S. If the general discussion isn't a good place to discuss this then lead me to the right place.

Welcome aboard MD, Beans ! This post is a good place to start as any with your introduction.
As for chill guitar riffs the album Screenplaying by Mark Knopfler is great for that sound.. A fellow MD member Jerome recommended it . This is an excellent place to get good recommendations !

Also the Beatles' Sun King has a great low fi melodic guitar intro !

Hope these help !

Are you familiar with David Gilmour or Mark Knopfler? If so, for clarification's sake, would you consider either to play in a "Chill" style? That'd give me a bit more to go on for suggestions. Oh, and welcome to MD.
