#7 on the UK charts this week...
holds the record in the UK for being the 'biggest selling single on the UK charts that never made it to #1" (it reached #2, held off the top by Band Aid) superb track IMO.... funny thing is, "everything she wants" was the original "a" side of the single in the UK, radio turned over the disc and started playing "last christmas" and all subsequent printings of the single showed it as a "double a" side instead of an "a" and "b" side, the original pressings showing it as a "b" side are worth a few quid now to collectors.
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014. |
