Just bought a Doepfer Ribbon Controller - been meaning to get one for some time. Bit of a nightmare to program and the manual is just plain crap but the device is extremely powerful once you get your head around it. One of the most expressive midi controllers for use with soft synths or even hardware synths. Can be used for synth pads or even getting a human feel out of string samplers. At the moment I am trying it out on a software balalaika and it seems to do the job very well.
