Pianist ELISE LEBEC says her new album, HEART SONG, is meant to represent both a life journey and a trip on an old sailing vessel a few hundred years ago. The album cover shows Lebec standing on a beach looking out to sea, and the inside artwork includes a picture of an old wooden sailing ship as well as ancient oceanic maps. Her studio where she composes looks out at San Francisco Bay. Two tunes on the album directly relate to the era of sailing schooners -- “Pirates and Poets” and “Ghost Ships” -- and two other tunes capture ocean adventures -- “Away Into The Horizon” and “Moonlit Waters.”

Back on shore she writes about “Sacred Land,” the weather (“Following The Rain”), passion (“Afternoon Kisses”), and love (“It Was Always You”). She is joined by renowned cellist David Darling and flugelhorn master Jeff Oster. This is exquisite music. Definitely worth finding online and listening to some streaming samples so you can make a decision about purchasing the CD or download tracks. Go to the well and drink deeply.[/INDENT]
