on a general note(and yes im generalizing here)......
modern music has no "soul","originality" or "relevance" nowadays....its the same old pish that everyone else is doing.....
gone are the 50s/60s and 1970s when every major artist had their own unique style and sound....
and i'll add the period of the mid 1990s in that catagory also.
i mentioned overuse of autotune in the original post here....
when autotune came out i used to have a hard time picking it, now it just stands out like the proverbial dogs-bollocks.

Hideous nonsense. Sounds the same as everything else in the genre - formulaic drum beats, the same old snare fill speeding up, perfunctory handclaps included and the standard doof, doof, doof crap. No imagination at all. And the video is laughable. Zero intelligence in this one. File 13! Could quite have easily been composed by a robot - come to think of it - it probably was. If there's AutoTune there's probably AutoCompose as well. Soon to be followed by AutoProducer, AutoMixing and AutoMastering (the last one already exists BTW - it's called Landr). The main problem with all this stuff is it has no depth - and the mobile phone music consuming populace don't care - they only look for content - not class. So you have an entire generation growing up that actually don't understand what vibrant, original, dynamic music is. They don't know what they are missing........
