#1 both here and in the UK this week....hate it also, on par with that stupid thing by Drake that just spent countless weeks at #1 on the UK charts.

Just as a matter of interest, why do you guys post clips of stuff that you then say you hate?
Sure, there is a remote possibility that I might listen to it and love it, but if someone is in my house as a guest and we are going to listen to music i don't say "Hey, listen to this, isn't it awful?" I don't get it.

I will give anything a go and im always honest in what I think...
if I only posted the new ones I liked more than half would never get posted, I post them regardless for the forum, someone may not have heard them and may like them... I don't expect people to like or dislike what I like or dislike so I bring it and you guys can make your own opinion up if you care to listen... there have been numerous times on the forum that both MH and myself have posted things we dislike but the other one likes it... that's how we roll I guess... I would find it boring and im sure you guys would also If all I ever posted was the two Elvis', McCartney, Fogerty, Neil Young, Dylan, Finn Brothers, Nick Cave, John Cash, Willie Nelson, Paul Weller, KISS, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Dean Martin etc... Ive also discovered artists others have posted here whether they liked them or not... I just try to listen to something new at least once a week (mostly more than that) and usually an artist ive never heard of... if I can take the hour to listen either intently or while im surfing the net then I think it deserves the respect to be posted accordingly... I call it trying to keep relevant and at least have an interest in modern music, even though I know 95% of it will not be to my liking, but I I don't seek out the diamonds in the rough i'll never hear them because even radio only plays the latest trends....

I also try to mention a comparison to what im listening to that way people may say..."oh, so it sounds like so and so, I like them, i'll give it a listen", that way they may pick up on it also....

and I am a moderator here so I feel obligated to contribute if I didn't talk about new music I wouldn't have much to say I have always liked to listen to new music most new music is bad to me but if I have taken the time to listen I feel I have earned the right to say how bad it is plus by posting the hit singles it gives me comfort to know I am one of the sane ones |
