Dune Rats "the kids will know its bullshit"

Spotify listen:

picked this one because it debuted at #1 here in Australia this week...
Aussie band, they call them punk...
Blink182/Good Charlotte clones IMO...
and its not just kids who know this is bullshit!

from the album:

BTW bob_32,
what did you think of Silverchair?
do you own anything by them?
if not, did you like anything by them?

I don't own anything by silverchair (I believe for some time they spelled their name all in lower case), but I do like some of their stuff, mainly the later albums Diorama and Young Modern.

I also admired them for always pushing the boundaries. When they started, I thought of them as more or less a (fairly good) clone of Pearl Jam. A while later I started to think it was the other way round, that silverchair had progressed and Pearl Jam had pretty much stuck to a formula.

Comparing their first album, Frogstomp, with their last one, Young Modern, it's hard to think of it as the same band.

The Dissociatives album (Daniel Johns with Paul Mac) is very interesting also.

I own Neon Ballroom, its not bad...

from Frogstomp to Young Modern I agree, they changed so much in those five studio albums they made...

have heard some of Dissociatives material, very eclectic and interesting.

Incidentally I loved the liner note that appeared on the Frogstomp album:

Quote:No llamas were harmed in the making of this album.
