SQUEEZE "the knowledge"
Spotify listen:
fifteenth studio set from the band that were once 'cool for cats'....
third album since their reformation in 2010...
a substantial list of members over the years including Jools Holland...
he's not here this time round, too successful with his tv show I guess...
both original vocalists are still with the band and their long standing drummer...
I was pleasantly surprised by this one...
a children's choir pops up on a track...
Baroque sounds, a touch of country, euro-pop/soul, an allround collection of well crafted pop songs...
if I had to make a comparison of sorts I would say OMD, maybe some David Silvian also...
not sure I would consider buying it, but still pretty good for a band that has been around since the late 1970s..
from the album:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.
