Joe Jackson
#1
I love Joe Jackson... well, at least I really love 3 of his most popular songs. His best stuff is from the late 70's and early 80's. He had a cool style then. Very elegant & refined looking, I still adore his song Stepping Out - I will play it over & over again on my IPod sometimes. Any fans or even anyone familiar with his stuff?

I have a couple of JJ albums; Blaze of Glory, & Live 1980/1986.

Really like both of them, but have never ventured to expand into his other stuff.

It's funny I've been playing Steppin Out in my iPod a lot lately. That one and Real Men which I love. I also adore the Tori Amos cvoer of Real Men. Good stuff.

I remember "Different for Girls" - what a great song. I don't remember any of his other songs though...

I LOVE THE SONG "One More Time"

Here with the New Lyrics

source :http://www.musicbanter.com/song-writing-...ost1075317

Tell me one more time as I hold your hand, that you don't love me
Tell me one more time as teardrops start to fall
Shout it to me and I'll shout it to the skies above me
That there was nothing after all

Baby, baby, tell me that you never wanted my loving
Baby, baby, tell me that you never, tell me, tell me,
One more time, one more time, say you're leaving, say goodbye
One more time, one more time, say you're leaving, say goodbye

Tell me one more time that we never had a thing in common
Tell me one more time as you turn and face the wall
Tell me I should know you were never my kind of woman
Tell me we were fools to fall

Baby, baby, tell me that you never wanted my loving
Baby, baby, tell me that you never, tell me, tell me,
One more time, one more time, say you're leaving, say goodbye
One more time, one more time, say you're leaving, say goodbye

Tell me one more time your tears are only sad confusion
Tell me it's just been so long and that is all
Tell me one more time that love was only my illusion
You never answered to my call

Baby, baby, tell me that you never wanted my loving
Baby, baby, tell me that you never, tell me, tell me,
One more time, one more time, say you're leaving, say goodbye
One more time, one more time, say you're leaving, say goodbye

"Is She Really Going Out With Him" and "Sunday Papers" were very popular tracks in my area, and I hear them regularly on 80s radio stations. Since I was a huge fan of 80s music, I had quite a lot of his albums on vinyl....which I sadly don't have anymore. "Steppin' Out" was always such an uplifting, very positive-sounding track. Happy music.

"You....can dress in pink and blue
just like a child,
And in a yellow taxi
Turn to me, and smile.
We'll be there in just a while,
If you follow me."
