I've always felt that this great group has been somewhat overlooked because of the greatness of it's lead singer[smokey robinson]but a great as he is he did have help,ronnie white co-wrote[my girl]and listen to the early work...I love your baby-bad girl-way over there-I need some money-I need a change. they grooved on those early tunes and kept on grooving even after smokey left...don't let it end-do it baby-I love you secrectly-love machine-if you're ever in the neighborhood,for those unfamiliar with this classic group,look em up and watch em move,the miracles-smokey,bobby,Claudette,pete,marvin,billy,Ronnie.

Smokey & Miracles...love 'em.
shows you the quality of the Motown artists in general because there was none that stood out from the others as they were just about all on par with eachother....
great label with a complete stable of very gifted vocalists(ooops sorry...and their house band which made the sounds!)

speaking of Motown....Phil Collins released an album of Motown covers about five years ago called "goin' back"....the original members of the Motown studio band played
on his album giving it a real 'authentic sound'....
if you get the chance seek it out,well worth it(and im no Collins fan overall!)
