Tough one, but one of my favorites is Pink Floyd - A Collection of Great Dance Songs. It's only a lame compilation, but the cover captures the Pink Floyd mood, attitude, and sense of irony in so many ways, including the idea of having a compilation album.

This is an excellent thread

There are so many excellent album covers ! I think it is a real art form
