Yes - Fly From Here - critics hated it - I think it's one of their best albums.

RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS "50 reasons to love...."
sorry, no image of the cover art seems to be available! three cd set covering fifty tracks by Bill and Bob.... this is the first disc which contains seventeen tracks... mainly their early ones on this... most of the tracks have a soul/r+b feel happening ala the hard edged sounds of Wilson Pickett/Otis.... I never realised these guys were so good until I bought this 3cd set, but theres more to them than Unchained Melody and You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' IMO..... I had to check every now and then to make sure I had the right disc in because it was so easy to forget these were white dudes and not black soul guys.... first disc is an awesome affair of classy material from the finest white-boy-blue eyed soul you will ever hear... a couple of bits of trivia now.... 1) Cher sang backing vocals on most of their songs 2) Unchained Melody was offered to Bing Crosby but he turned it down. I LOVE THIS DISC worst track: bring your love to me best track: unchained melody disc #1 tracks: 1...unchained melody *** 2...little latin lupe lu *** 3...my babe *** 4...koko joe *** 5...let the good times roll *** 6...try to find another man *** 7...I just wanna make love to you ** 8...somethings got a hold on me ** 9...this little girl of mine ** 10.bring your love to me ** 11.fannie mae *** 12.you can have her *** 13.justine *** 14.just once in my life ** 15.see that girl ** 16.hung on you *** 17.ebb tide ** 3s=10 2s=7 1s=0 rating: 2.6

I must be feeling homesick - Ismael Lo - Jammu Afrika - I cannot understand a word of what he is saying/singing but this is one of those albums where I like every single track. And there aren't many of them. Amazing piece of work and vaguely reminds me of my time in Central Africa. A short-lived period but an eye opener for me. A different place - both beautiful and tragic at the same time. Would love to go back to the Botanical Garden in Limbe one more time.

![]() had to go to Amazon for the image terrible packaging for this one no liner notes, no nothing here's some of his music you're on your own didn't know the guy had 29 studio albums or 38 singles, from the 60's thru the 2000's this is my fav and his only #1 here, from 1966
Going to bore everyone to tears here but I am back to my old favourite - Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' - an amazing piece of work from start to finish. An album I never tire of and have yet to find an equal to. It stands alone in the realm of rock music. Even my cat, Smokey, is mesmerised by this music. Parks herself between the two speakers and much like her owner, just spaces out. Wonderful music.

![]() ELTON JOHN "madman across the water" cd, 1971 career stats: studio albums.................31 singles..........................128 this album...........................#41 UK...#8 AU...#8 US...#13 CAN singles: "levon"...........................................#94 AU..#24 US....#6 CAN "tiny dancer"...................................#13 AU..#41 US..#19 CAN Sir Reggie's sixth studio album.... and like all the others from this period the songs were written with Bernie Taupin.... this album I have is the remastered reissue and the linear notes say this is the only album from his early years that doesn't contain bonus tracks, simply because he what he recorded at the time for the album went on the album.... songs are typical of that period by his standards...lovely piano based melodic tracks with good lyrics overall(its the Taupin factor I guess).... im just surprised that the singles that made the charts elsewhere simply didn't chart in the UK, and the album fared badly there also by his standards... overall, a very good album but let down by a couple of tracks I just don't like.... I LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: indian sunset best track: tiny dancer tracks: 1...tiny dancer *** 2...levon *** 3...razor face * 4...madman across the water *** 5...indian sunset * 6...holiday inn *** 7...rotten peaches ** 8...all the nasties ** 9...goodbye ** 3s=4 2s=3 1s=2 rating: 2.2

RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS "50 reasons to love...."
sorry, no image of the cover art seems to be available! three cd set covering fifty tracks by Bill and Bob.... this is the third disc.... it contains sixteen tracks..... mainly ballads and smooth r+b on this one... the first eight track are Righteous Brothers tracks, tracks nine to twelve are Bobby Hatfield solo tracks and... tracks thirteen to sixteen are Bill Medley solo tracks.... I actually wasn't aware until the other day that Cher sang backing vocals on about ninety percent of their songs during their career(even when she was successful in her own right!) its another superb disc of material by these guys and all up a fantastic addition to any music lover's collection/library of music.. I LOVE THIS DISC worst track: stand by best track: gotta tell you how I feel tracks: 1...Georgia on my mind ** 2...you bent my mind ** 3...without you i'd be lost *** 4...stand by ** 5...he ** 6...gotta tell you how I feel *** 7...the angels listened in ** 8...woman,man needs ya *** 9...brothers *** 10.hang ups *** 11.hot tamales *** 12.only you ** 13.browneyed woman ** 14.that lucky old sun ** 15.i cant make it alone *** 16.peace brother peace *** 3s=8 2s=8 1s=0 rating: 2.5 so all up over three discs and fifty tracks we get a combined rating like this: 3s=28 2s=22 1s=0 overall rating: 2.6

![]() the only Stones cd I have love the first of this 2 cd set but only a few tracks on the second it's pretty clear why, as the first one is all 60's material the other is from then on I went off of them in the early 80's probably Emotional Rescue is the last one I really like as punishment for not putting the best Rolling Stones song ever on this cd I am posting it here instead of a track from this set that'll teach em
