UK charts overview for 13th May 2016:

It may be Friday the 13th, but Drake definitely has luck on his side as he claims a fifth week at Number 1 with One Dance.Despite strong competition from Calvin Harris's This Is What You Came For, feat. Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake's surprise release Can't Stop The Feeling, Drake notched up an impressive 123,500 combined chart sales to hold on to the top spot.

The Canadian rapper has been having a great week when it comes to streaming, too. While he doesn't quite match the new record he set last week with 8.9 million listens, One Dance has racked up 8.37 million plays over the last seven days.
Calvin Harris and Rihanna's This Is What You Came For settles for another week at Number 2, and Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling, taken from the soundtrack for upcoming movie Trolls, is new at 3.


Sia's Cheap Thrills slips a place to 4, while the former Number 1 from Mike Posner, I Took A Pill In Ibiza, continues its comedown, falling one spot to round off our Top 5.
New entries and high climbers

Not satisfied with dominating the Top 2, Drake and Rihanna have teamed up for a new entry, with Too Good, taken from Drake's chart-topping album Views, rising 18 places to Number 23.
will.i.am scores his 39th Top 40 hit this week, with Boys & Girls feat. Pia Mia leaping 16 places to Number 26, while Cheat Codes and Kris Kross Amsterdam score their very first – Sex is new at 35.

Radiohead have gone straight in at the Number 1 spot with their ninth studio album A Moon Shaped Pool.
Scoring over 50,000 combined chart sales, the album is their sixth chart-topper, following OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows.


The band's feat is all the more impressive considering the album came out on Sunday, missing out on 48 hours of the weekly sales window.
Skepta scores his first Top 10 album, with Konnichiwa going straight in at Number 2 and Beyoncé's Lemonade is at 3.
Last week's Number 1 Drake falls three places to Number 4 with Views and Gregory Porter scores his Official Albums Chart personal best with Take Me to the Alley at 5.

New entries and high climbers

French composer Jean Michel Jarre is this week's fourth highest new entry. He scores his seventh Top 10 album with Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise at 8. Adele's 25 slips out of the Top 10 for the first time after 24 weeks in the top flight (12).

James Blake's surprise release The Colour in Anything is new at 13 while Black Veil Brides lead singer Andy Biersack lands at 16 with The Shadow Side, his first solo project under the moniker Andy Black.
Prince's 39th and final studio album HITnRUN Phase Two debuts at 21. The album was released digitally back in December but was made available in physical formats last Friday.
Academy Award nominee Anohni scores a Top 30 placing with her debut Hopelessness and Kaytranada's 99.9% is new at 31.
Elle King's Love Stuff shoots back into the Top 40, rocketing 73 places to 33, and Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit also zooms back up 35 places to return to the Top 40 at 35, plus Prince’s 1999 bounces back too – leaping 82 places to Number 36.

Good grief. "Legend" is still in the UK charts at no. 40, having spent 720 weeks on the chart. When are all those Bob Marley fans going to realise he did other albums they should pick up?

Aussie chart overview for 14th May:

singles:
He may have lost the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart but Drake has managed to retain his place at the top of the Singles Chart for a second week with ‘One Dance’. The track is currently #1 on a number of charts internationally including in the US and UK.
Further down the chart and a jump of 18 spots in its third week in the top 50 brings Topic’s ‘Home’ into the top 20 for the first time.
DNCE’s ‘Cake By The Ocean’ moves up 16 spots to pick up a new peak in its third week in the top 50.
After debuting at #42 last week, ‘My Boo’ by Ghost Town DJ’s has climbed 16 spots to #26.
Also climbing the chart in their second week are Kungs Vs Cookin On 3 Burners’ ‘My Girl’ (up 17 to #31) and Anne-Marie’s ‘Do It Right’ (#up 15 to #32).
After eight weeks out of the top 50, Conrad Sewell’s ‘Remind Me’ returns at #44.
Debuts:
#3: Delta Goodrem ‘Dear Life’ – Nearly a year on from ‘Wings’ (#1 Aug. ’15), Delta Goodrem returns to the chart with ‘Dear Life’. It’s the singer-songwriter’s seventeenth top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart. Goodrem performed ‘Dear Life’ at the 58th TV Week Logie Awards in Melbourne on 8 May.
#4: Justin Timberlake ‘Can't Stop The Feeling!’ – Justin Timberlake returns to the top ten for the first time in two years with ‘Can't Stop The Feeling!’. It comes from the soundtrack to the forthcoming animated film Trolls. The track is Timberlake’s eleventh top ten as a solo artist. He first hit the top ten with ‘Like I Love You’ (#8 Nov. ’02).
#50: The Temper Trap ‘Fall Together’ – Ahead of the release of their third album, Thick As Thieves, in June, Melbourne’s The Temper Trap return with new single ‘Fall Together’. The album’s second single is the band’s first top 50 Singles Chart appearance since ‘Trembling Hands’ (#38 Oct. ’12).

#1: Keith Urban ‘Ripcord’ – Aussie country star Keith Urban snaps up his third straight #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Ripcord. The singer-songwriter’s ninth album is the follow-up to Fuse (#1 Sept. ’13) and features guest appearances from Nile Rodgers, Pitbull and Carrie Underwood. Keith Urban first topped the Albums Chart with The Story So Far (#1 May ’12).
Ripcord is the seventh Australian #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2016.
#2: Radiohead ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ – Radiohead’s ninth album becomes their sixth consecutive studio album to debut at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album is the follow-up to The King Of Limbs (#2 Apr. ’11). A Moon Shaped Pool was a surprise release, announced only two days prior to it being made available on 8 May.
#9: Kate Ceberano ‘Anthology’ – A new three-disc career retrospective from ARIA Award-winning artist Kate Ceberano. It includes the singles ‘Bedroom Eyes’ (#2 May ’89), ‘Brave/Young Boys Are My Weakness’ and ‘Pash’ (#10 Feb. 98), as well as duets with Paul Kelly, John Farnham, Wendy Matthews and more. Ceberano last charted with the studio album Kensal Road (#23 Aug. ’13). Her most recent top ten was with So Much Beauty (#9 May ’09).
#13: Skepta ‘Konnichiwa’ – The fourth album from Skepta gives the British MC his first appearance in the ARIA top 50. Konnichiwa features appearances from Pharrell, Wiley and more.
#16: James Blake ‘The Colour In Everything’ – British electronic artist James Blake returns with third album The Colour In Everything. The follow-up to Overgrown (#5 Apr. ’13) was another surprise release this week. It features contributions from Frank Ocean and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.
#20: Travis Collins ‘Hard Light’ – Country singer-songwriter Travis Collins returns to the chart with fifth album Hard Light. It’s his second top 50 appearance, following on from Wired (#26 Feb. ’15).
#21: Kaytranada ‘99.9%’ – The debut album from Canadian producer Kaytranada. It features a raft of guests including Craig David, Little Dragon, Anderson .Paak, Vic Mensa and more.
#23: Andy Black ‘The Shadow Side’ - Black Veil Brides front man Andy Biersack goes solo as Andy Black with The Shadow Side. As a member of Black Veil Brides, Biersack last charted with the band’s self-titled fourth album (#23 Nov. ’14).
#26: Cyndi Lauper ‘Detour’ – The eleventh studio album from Cyndi Lauper gives the American artist her first top 50 appearance since At Last (#32 Jul. ’04). Detour finds Lauper turning her hand to country music with the help of Willie Nelson, Jewel, Emmylou Harris and more. Lauper topped the Albums Chart for four weeks in 1986 with True Colors (#1 Sept. ’86).
#30: The Screaming Jets ‘Chrome’ – Newcastle rockers The Screaming Jets return with their first album in eight years, Chrome. It’s the band’s first top 50 appearance since Scam (#36 Oct. ’00).
#35: Anohni ‘Hopelessness’ – Formerly the lead singer of Antony and the Johnsons, Anohni releases her debut solo album Hopelessness. The album features extensive collaboration with Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never. Antony and the Johnsons’ only top 50 appearance to date was with The Crying Light (#33 Jan. ’09).
#39: Tourist ‘U’ – The debut album from London producer William Phillips, aka Tourist. Phillips two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for co-writing Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ (#5 Jun. ’14).

However, the highest ever one week total belongs to Justin Bieber's Number 2-peaking Purpose, which mustered 20,000 sales equivalent streams in its second week of release in November.

Finally, four albums slingshot back into the Top 40: Jack Savoretti's Written in Scars is up 8 (36); Ellie Goulding's Delirium rises four spots (38), Catfish and the Bottlemen's The Balcony vaults 16 places (39) and Sia's 1000 Forms of Fear climbs 11 places (40).

For the third straight week, Drake’s ‘One Dance’ is #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The Canadian rapper has also picked up a new entry this week, debuting at #38 with the Rihanna-featured track ‘Too Good’.
After debuting at #4 last week, Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling!’ has moved up one spot to #3. It’s the star’s sixth top three single and first since ‘What Goes Around...Comes Around’ (#3 Mar. ’07).
A move of five spots to #6 for ’No Money’ gives Swedish duo Galantis their third top ten on the Singles Chart. They’ve previously hit the top ten with ‘Runaway (U & I)’ (#4 Apr. ’15) and ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ (#3 Aug. ’15).
Climbing up five spots, ‘Panda’ gives Desiigner his first top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart. The track is a former US #1.
Debuts:
#5: Dami Im ‘Sound Of Silence’ – After coming second in last weekend’s Eurovision Song Contest, Dami Im becomes this week’s highest debut with ‘Sound Of Silence’. The track is Im’s second Singles Chart top ten, following on from ‘Alive’ (#1 Nov. ’13).
#18: Meghan Trainor ‘Me Too’ – Taken from Meghan Trainor’s second album Thank You (new at #3 on the Albums Chart this week), ‘Me Too’ is the singer-songwriter’s sixth single to hit the ARIA top 50.
#30: Keith Urban Feat. Carrie Underwood ‘The Fighter’ – Coming from the #1 album Ripcord, ‘The Fighter’ is Keith Urban’s sixth top 50 single. His highest peak to date has been with ‘Once In A Lifetime’ (#18 Nov. ’06).
#38: Drake Feat. Rihanna ‘Too Good’ – As well as topping the Singles Chart for a third straight week with ‘One Dance’, Drake picks up a new entry with ‘Too Good’. Featuring Rihanna, it’s the second collaboration between the two artists on this week’s chart; their track ‘Work’ (#5 Mar. ’16) currently sits at #42. It’s the fourth track to chart from Views (#1 May ’16), following on from ‘Hotline Bling’ (#2 Oct. ’15), ‘One Dance’ (#1 May ’16)) and ‘Pop Style’ (#44 Apr. ’16).

#49: Cheat Codes Feat. Kris Kross Amsterdam ‘Sex’ – The debut chart appearance for American EDM group Cheat Codes. ‘Sex’ is a collaboration with Dutch group Kris Kross Amsterdam and features a re-use of the chorus of Salt-N-Pepa’s early 90s hit ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’ (#1 Jan. ’92).

After becoming his third #1 album last week, Keith Urban’s Ripcord has notched up a second week at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It’s the first of Urban’s three #1 albums to spend more than one week in the top spot. A track from the album, ‘The Fighter’ featuring Carrie Underwood, has debuted at #30 on this week’s Singles Chart.
After three weeks out of the top 50, the soundtrack to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest returns and overtakes its previous peak of #42. It’s the second Eurovision soundtrack to chart in the top the in Australia, following on from Eurovision Song Contest 2015 Vienna (#4 Jun. ’15).
This week sees moves up the chart for Taylor Swift’s 1989 (up 17 to #15), Meghan Trainor’s Title (up 20 to #18), Little Mix’s Get Weird (up eight to #29) and Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour (up 14 to #34).
Debuts:
#3: Meghan Trainor ‘Thank You’ – After topping the Albums Chart with debut Title (#1 Jan. ’15), American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor debuts at #3 with second album Thank You. It features the single ‘No’ (#9 Apr. ’16), as well as ‘Me Too’, which has debuted this week at #18.
#4: The Living End ‘Shift’ – Melbourne’s The Living End return with Shift, their first album in five years. The follow-up to The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating (#3 Aug. ’11), is the group’s seventh studio album and their sixth to debut in the top five on the ARIA Albums Chart.
#5: Paul Dempsey ‘Strange Loop’ – The second solo album from Something For Kate front man Paul Dempsey. It debuts in the same position as first album Everything Is True (#5 Aug. ‘09). In between albums, Dempsey released the covers EP Shotgun Karaoke (#17 Oct. ’13).
#12: Pierce The Veil ‘Misadventures’ – American post-hardcore band Pierce The Veil grab their first top 50 appearance thanks to Misadventures. The band’s fourth album is their first since Collide With The Sky (#81 Jul. ’12) four years ago,
#13: Kygo ‘Cloud Nine’ – Having peaked at #10 with the single ‘Firestone’, Norwegian producer Kygo makes his Albums Chart debut with Cloud Nine. The album features ‘Firestone’ as well as collaborations with Matt Corby, John Legend and Angus & Julia Stone.
#21: DevilDriver ‘Trust No One’ – DevilDriver release their seventh studio album Trust No One. The follow-up to Winter Kills (#14 Sept. ’13) is their fifth top 50 on the ARIA Charts. Their best peak to date was with Beast (#9 Feb. ’11).\
#26: Modern Baseball ‘Holy Ghost’ – Philadelphia indie band Modern Baseball make their chart debut with Holy Ghost. The band’s third studio album follows on from Sports (2012) and You're Gonna Miss It All (2014). They were recently in Australia for their debut tour.
#33: Hatebreed ‘Concrete Confessional’ – The eighth studio album from Metalcore band Hatebreed is their second top 50 entry. They first hit the top 50 with fourth album Supremacy (#32 Sept. ’06).
