I have no idea about a station in Kalamunda.

RTR used to be based at UWA and was called 6UVS, but it is now located in Mt Lawley and is no longer linked to the university.

Oops, I meant 92.1, NOT 92.5.

thanks bob_32,

i'll adjust my car stereo accordingly when I head out to JB Hifi this morning.

the community radio station I was thinking of, and getting confused with, was the Kalamunda based KCR-FM,
heres the link to their station if youre interested:

THE JEZABELS "the brink" cd, 2014

career stats:
studio albums......3
singles...............11

this album.........#2 AU
singles:
"the end".............#81AU
"look of love"........no chart action
"angels of fire"......no chart action
"time to dance".....no chart action
"all you need".......no chart action

four piece alt rock band from Australia with a female vocalist to boot!
some good alt rock/indi rock on this one,
nothing great, nor anything bad on this album, the only problem I really have
is that theres a bit of a Coldplay thing happening at times, thankfully though,
they get that crap out of their system and I can live with that.
some lovely orchestrated strings in this one also, which is always a good thing IMO.
good clarity in the mixing of it IMO also, with the vocals crystal clear...
I also have their debut album, I probably should have posted that one first really,
but this one came out of the pile first...

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS "NOCTURAMA" cd, 2003

career stats for Bad Seeds:
studio albums.............15
singles.......................31

this album.................#8 AU...#20 UK...#182 US
singles:
"bring it on"...............#58 UK
"he wants you" / "babe im on fire" (double "A" side)............no chart action
"rock of Gibraltar".......#136 UK

Nick and The Bad Seeds' twelfth studio album...
I think I own all of them, or maybe im still one or two short, im not sure, i'll have to check....
mostly piano based ballads on here, a couple of uptempo tracks, and one that is grungy as in
a cross between Birthday Party (Nicks original band) and Grinderman (Nick's side project)...
to be honest, for the most part, as usual, he lyrics are very impressive as they usually are, but
the tunes and melodies just don't cut it for me except for a few tracks...
this is by far (IMO) the worst album these guys have released, but its not as bad as Birthday Party!,
and you guys who know me know that I love Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, am I right?
while I was playing this I was actually thinking to myself that the album is missing something, it sounds incomplete
and unfinished, but I couldn't put my finger on it, and low-and-behold, when I checked Wiki for the chart placings on the
album it says "album was recorded in 2002 in a week in between live shows"...that's it!...it was rushed..
that said though, my favourite track on here is 'classic' Nick Cave IMO

I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

worst track: dead man in my bed
best track: rock of Gibraltar

8...rock of Gibraltar ***
9...she passed by my window **

8th and final album
one of my favorite bands during their peak
this one doesn't stand up to the early ones
but it still works for me
it was their highest charter in the UK at #3
the band never even cracked the top 10 here
this one coming in at #19

love this single but it never charted here

Never been TH fan MH. Don't know why but their music has never really appealed to me. Well, the little bit that I know anyway. Maybe I should revisit their work. Which album do you consider their best?
