MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE "may death never stop you" cd, 2014
career stats:
studio albums.........4
singles..................25
ep's.......................6
this album..........,#9 US...#11 AU...#15 UK
singles:
"fake your death".....#63 UK
compilation set from these Alt-rockers...
I accidently picked this one up a while ago when I was buying a couple of their studio albums...
I didn't mean to buy it but I couldn't remember the names of their studio albums...
album contains three 'demo versions' of songs, I didn't even listen to them so theyre not included in the post...
took a while (a few listens) for this one to gel with me fully for some reason....
I hear bits of Green Day, Dropkick Murphy's and old school punk in places here...
lyrics are well written with stories attached to them....
all up a very good album, cant wait to hear the two studio albums I also bought...
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

that album cover looks surprisingly familiar to me, yet,
never heard of the artist nor have I any recollection of the single clip you posted???
not keen on your linked track neither, sounds like a 'throwaway' REM song to me.

DAVID GRAY "shine: the best of the early years" cd, 2007
career stats:
studio albums..........10
singles....................22
this album............. no charted action
a compilation of sorts, bringing together Gray's favourite tracks off his first three albums as a teaser
prior to his "best of" set being released a few months later on in late 2007....
mainly acoustic guitar folky sounding material on this one,
sounds vocally a bit like Bob Dylan in places, even some of the tunes and lyrics have a distinct Dylan
vibe for the most part...
hearing shades of Cohen, Peter Sarstedt and Harry Chapin in it also.
other than this, I only have "white ladder"...a classic album in its own right IMO...
I really should get some more of Gray's albums at some point, a quality artist for sure.
nothing I don't like on this one, and around half I absolutely love!
great artist, and a great introduction to his material if youre unfamiliar with it or him!
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
worst track: sell, sell, sell

I have all 3 of their albums
the first 2 are on vinyl
after listening to this one I would have to revisit the other 2 to know why I have all 3
the dude sounds like Fred Schneider
4 singles but this wasn't one of them
