Choose your 3 favorite studio-albums with the artist/band mentioned between (.... ) behind them from this year by giving them 3,2 and 1 point as I show you in the next post. The next one can add his points to new/his albums or the albums already mentioned and also change the total points shown in front of the album.
Please rank the albums in order with the most points so far.

3 Highway 61 Revisited (Bob Dylan) +3
2 Rubber Soul (The Beatles) +2
1 Bringing It All Back Home (Bob Dylan) +1
"Bringing It All Back Home" is by whom? Maybe give the artists as well as the album titles?

You're right, I'll edit some changes to make it clearer. This is an idea that was very popular on another music site, so let's see if more members join. That makes it more interesting and somehow exciting with the game element in such a list. Maybe I or you re/discover some albums again or some you never heard of !

I only have one favorite from that year and it is the first album that my newest favorite singer put out there, I love the late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal SO much!!!
God bless you and his family always!!!
Holly
P.S. The album was named after his signature song named "Down In The Boondocks".
Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!

I cant split either of those two Dylan albums, the guy could literally do no wrong at all in the 1960s IMO...
so they would be #1 and #2 on the list for me.
The Who's debut album from '65 would be third on my list...
as for #4 on the list from that year, I would have to put Beatles "Help!" album...
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

anybody got a link to all of the albums released in 1965?
I'm tired
1966 was a kind of musical annus mirabilis. There are at least seven albums that I consider personal must-haves: two from Simon & Garfunkel, two from Bob Lind, and one each from the Beach Boys, Donovan and the Beatles.
On the other hand, I cannot think of anything from 1965 that I ever felt I HAD to have.

1965 was a monumental year in rock! So many great artists and albums started to emerge! The new sound of rock began namely Dylan went electric and Rubber soul was released!
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
