Mono - Follow The Map
Nice.

I've been listening to Mono's album "Hymn To The Immortal Wind" almost every night for like two weeks now. Pretty relaxing. Eh, I didn't think I would like them since their genre is Post Rock, but now I've learned the error of my previous ways and my eyes (or ears) can see clearly now that I need more beauty like this in my life because of them. :nod:

interesting story on that cover art which resulted in a lawsuit
2nd album and it debuted at #1
distinctive sound which wears thin pretty quick for me

I remember hearing the album when it came out, did nothing for me, but yes, it appeared pretty regular and high in those 'end of year' lists.

ive fallen for the "oh it must be good because the experts say so" trap before also.

vocalist for Welsh alt rock band Stereophonics...
love those guys and their sound...
bought this one in a discount bin for a couple of bucks on the strength of Stereophonics albums....
mainly acoustic material....
songs were simply recorded by Jones inbetween takes for songs off Stereophonics sixth album
when he was bored...
was never intended as a release just some time wasting in the studio....
so, he eventually recorded these ten tracks and decided he would release them for his benefit...
damn shame he did really because this, or the most part is pretty bland and boring and should have remained
a personal project and not a commercial release IMO...
all tracks have titles that are female names so it could be a concept album of sorts??
all up though, hal the tracks make the passing grade, most of those at a pinch, the rest..booorrrrinnnnggggg!
