No, I think of music as an art through which any human can express themselves. I like to find new music to expand my tastes and give different styles, bands, etc a chance, but there is no way I'll ever discover them all so I'll listen to the ones I can find and enjoy the ones I like.

In my opinion, it may depend on what you consider to be music or music that you think is good enough to listen to that is. Everyone has their favorites and then whatever it is that they do not have any interest in, so some people may think that there is too much out there while others may think that there isn't enough. It all depends on a person's personal taste.
God bless you always!!!

P.S. Ever since his going forward last year, I have gathered up just about everything that was put out there from the beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal. Is it enough for me? Because of how much I love to hear him, my answer is no.
Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!

There's never enough music for me. Heh, I sing, dance, hear it in the wind, feel it, write it, and try to make my own music and individuated flavor that feels true to me. I think a musician can through their heart, sweat, and tears make their music come to life when others hear them play *if* there is real passion involved.
I think different musicians, bands, and artists have something to share with the world so they're not doing the world a disservice by creating more, IMO. That just means more to listen to for passionate music listeners.

A lot of people are reluctant to post their own music - mainly because they are apprehensive about what people might say. That's understandable. If you don't feel like making it public send me a link to your music (if it's available online somewhere)

Yeah, haha. I would send you mine if it were available and I haven't recorded any songs in a while either. I mainly dance instead of sing and I think I did one song of mine with a band and that's been a few years, if I still had it I would. I don't have as much confidence in my singing (I just like to) as I do dancing. Maybe if I get around to recording a new song soon, I'll send it to you then.

I definitely don't think there is too much music these days, but I do think there isn't enough time in the day to enjoy it all.
The best way for me to get exposed to new music has been by using Pandora.com. However since they were purchased by Sirius I'm not sure they'll continue to be a good resource.
However I go through phases, sometimes I am working on finding new artists or new music by artists I like and other times I just enjoy the music I have. Lately I've been listening to older CDs that I haven't played in a while and rating and categorizing the songs.
Another aspect that controls how I discover new music is my eMusic subscription. I'll focus on music I can purchase there, listen to those on Spotify and then buy the songs I like.
