I'm a little obsessed with Oceans of Slumber's new album Winter. I've had Suffer The Last Bridge stuck in my head for like 2 days now and I like the self titled track too. At first my reaction was "Meh, it's alright I guess, the female vocalist is the best part anyway" but it keeps growing on me the more I listen to it so I'm starting to appreciate the band as a whole more. I mean their Aetherial album shows the band experimenting with different ideas while they get a more cohesive sound going on...that album isn't bad either, tbh. Anyway, I have this band on my watch list now.

Newest album for me is Chasing Yesterday by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Some people might know who he is since he was with the band Oasis at one time. I wasn't sure I would like this album tbh, but I do actually... it's catchy, varied, and even has a sweet saxophone in a few songs. I didn't expect a flair of Jazz with Alternative Rock. I like the songs Riverman, The Dying of the Light, and In The Heat Of The Moment.
I'm not into rating albums much, I usually judge albums on my impressions and reactions to them. I think Chasing Yesterday is above average and enjoyable for me

Noel's self titled "Noel Gallagher's high flying birds" debut solo album wasn't too bad, I prefer "chasing yesterday" though and im a big Oasis fan.

I haven't heard much of Oasis so I couldn't tell if I would like this project of Noel's either, but I like Chasing Yesterday. I haven't gotten to his debut yet, but I will.

with Oasis....
my favourite is "whats the story morning glory"...
I hate "be here now" and "standing on the shoulders of giants", but that said ALL Oasis albums have their great moments, its just that those last two I mentioned seem to have more bad moments that good IMO, but hey, you might like them...each to their own and all that.
