Steely Dan - Greatest Hits - my favourite track of theirs does not even appear on any of their albums but is included with this compilation - 'Here at the Western World' - great band once you get into them. Really should buy a couple more albums - any suggestions people?

^Yes! Aja.

I’ve been listening to Al Stewart’s Modern Times – might be my favourite of those of his that I have heard. It's the first of three produced by Alan Parsons who was also the engineer and arranged the strings. Very nice listening …

Al Stewart... What a surprise... Never heard of him before but that was great... During which period was (or is) he at his peak? Was he big in Europe and he just passed me by? I'll definitely dive into his music more...

Anyone else found of this guy?

^Gosh – no idea about how well known Al Stewart is in Europe, but he was a contemporary of Cat Stevens, so it’s interesting that you made that connection without knowing about him! His best known album is probably Year of the Cat – that and Time Passages are his highest charting albums – late ish 70’s, UK based at the time.

He’s still recording and apparently still touring, so you never know! Maybe he’ll turn up at a venue near you.

There are so many, but this Cat Stevens song stays with me for some reason - it's particularly poignant as it's the final track on his last album as Cat, (in fact he'd already changed his name by then) - from Back to Earth ...

Thx Ruby - Aja it is then. I trust your judgement as we seem to have very similar tastes in music.
